Cinnamon Rolls

Dissolve:
4 tlb. yeast in
1 1/2 cups very warm water
           
2 1/2 cups milk
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1 cup margarine melted
13-14 cup flour

1/2 cup melted margarine
cinnamon
1-1/2 cups brown sugar
1 -1/2 cups raisins (opt.)

Put sugar, salt, yeast, eggs, margarine and 2 C. flour in the mixer and mix.  Add milk and the remaining flour, alternately.  Leave dough a little sticky.  Knead in mixer for 10 minutes.  Place dough in a greased, covered bowl.  Let rise until double. 

Divide into 2 pieces.  Roll each piece into a rectangle.  Cover surface with melted butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, and raisins.  Roll up jelly roll style.  Cut each roll into 18 pieces.  Place slices on a greased cookie sheet, 12 per pan.  Let rise until double. 
Bake @ 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Frost while still a bit warm.                      yield: 3 doz. large rolls

FROSTING
1/2 cup softened margarine
8 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4-1/2 cup milk

Mix together, using milk as needed for desired consistency.
